I would like to give you insight information for a program that is available for young woman that may be in assistance for a first time pregnancy. "CHANGE IS IN THE AIR" with Nicole Smith is a local radio talk show on KCAA RADIO 1050AM broadcasting LIVE on the air every Saturday @ 5pm. Nicole Smith is about being authentic, discussing real life struggles, bringing "HOPE", being an "INSPIRATION" to others, and bringing "CHANGE" to those that are lost and have given up. DO NOT LOSE HOPE/DO NOT GIVE UP because there are people out there that care."

On Saturday, April 21st the show is with the County of San Bernardino Preschool Services Department Early Head Start - Program their mission is to improve the well-being of children,empower families & strengthen communities. They have several programs available however, I will be focusing on the Nurse Visitation Program/Low Income First Time Mothers Program (LIFT) which provides free services for pregnant women. Joining me on the show is Mr. Joesph Prologo- Program Manager Support Services, Romaine Alexander,RN for the program & a pair of first time parents. The Nurse Visitation Program and the LIFT Program provide pregnant women on prenatal education, support and empowerment to have the healthiest pregnancy possible.
The services are provided through family visits in your home by a Registered Nurse. During the visit the pregnant woman is given informationon fetal and infant development. The benefits of the program are to bring a healthy pregnancy, a healthy delivery,a strong support network, child safety, give reliable information, referrals for mental health issues & disabilities, continue your education and learn to set goals for yourself and your family’s future.
