Baker’s Drive-Thru ‘Safe Halloween’ Profits Total $243,768 for Easter Seals Disability Services

Baker’s Drive-Thru Restaurants, a San Bernardino-based chain of fast-food restaurants with locations in Redlands and Loma Linda, raised $243,768 during its 25th annual “Safe Halloween” promotion benefiting people with disabilities at Easter Seals Southern California (ESSC).  Baker’s has raised $3,316,662 for ESSC since the inception of Safe Halloween in 1989.

“Thanks to the outstanding work of Baker’s associates and management and the generosity of their loyal customers, this year’s campaign raised more money than last year,” said Mark Whitley, president and CEO of Easter Seals Southern California.  “Everyone at Easter Seals is tremendously grateful and proud to partner with Baker’s. For the last 25 years, Baker’s has consistently shown their commitment to improving the lives of people with disabilities.”

Sold for just $1 each, Safe Halloween coupon books are packed with hundreds of dollars in free and discounted items valid year-round from Southern California eateries, amusement parks, sports and entertainment centers.  Baker’s sells these books at all locations in the Inland Empire and High Desert communities throughout the month of October.  Proceeds help Easter Seals provide essential services for children and adults with autism and other disabilities, including job training and employment opportunities, pre-school and after-school services, independent living options that keep people in their own homes instead of institutions and services that help adults learn daily living and social skills that most of us take for granted.
