Adventist Media Ministries Consider Leaving So Cal

The Adventist Media Center has requested its Adventist ministries create a business proposal with an option that allows the center to move from its current Simi Valley location.

The Seventh-day Adentist Church’s media center could become the latest entity to pack up and leave sunny Southern California due in part to the high cost of living.

The Adventist Media Center, which produces “Faith For Today” and “It is Written,” has requested that its many Adventist ministries create a business proposal with an option that allows the center to move from its current Simi Valley location, according to the Adventist News Network.

The request comes about a year after North American church officials met media center representatives to review the effectiveness of media ministries, according to the news network.

Dan Jackson, AMC board chair and president of the denomination’s North American Division is quoted in the report as saying that awareness of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America did not match the money spent on past media ministries and required re-evaluation.

A new location has not been identified.
