Christmas Craftathon: 'Fun for All Ages' is Sunday at Moose Lodge in Mentone

Children and adults can learn to make gifts at rotating craft stations, according to organizers. The cost is $5 per person, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

A Christmas Craftathon to benefit Cub Scout Pack 14 is scheduled 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday Dec. 9 at the Moose Lodge on Mentone Boulevard.

Children and adults will learn to make gifts at rotating craft stations, according to organizers. The cost is $5 per person, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

"Wear clothes you do not mind getting paint and glue on, it might get messy," an event flier advises. "Allow yourself time to complete each station. Volunteers will be on-site to assist."

For more information or to volunteer call (909) 557-4702 or email terramayashop@yahoo.com.

"Bring the little ones," says organizer Lisa Marie Ruiz. "There will be stations for beginners and 5 and under. There will be stations for crafters who are familiar with crafting and adults. No cover charge. Only pay for crafting if you choose to participate in the make and take."

Santa is expected to make an appearance, and there will be hot dogs, nachos, baked goods and more for sale. The event is sponsored by the Moose Lodge and the Mission Company of Redlands.

The Moose Lodge is at 2139 Mentone Blvd. in Mentone. For more information about the Moose Lodge and the Royal Order of Moose Fraternity, visit www.mooseintl.org.
