City Partners To Collect Warm Coats for Redlands' Community

They are looking for things like gently-used jackets, gloves, blankets and sleeping bags to help keep community members warm who might not be able to afford these things on their own.

The following was submitted for publication by the city of Redlands:

You can join the City of Redlands and the Redlands Service Club Council and help keep someone warm this winter. The Redlands Service Club Council is holding its annual drive to collect necessary warm winter gear for members of our community. Drop-off locations will be located at several City facilities.

Volunteers will gather clean and new or gently used items including coats, jackets, scarves, gloves, hats, blankets, quilts, and sleeping bags.

Last year’s drive was a huge success with more than 3,000 items donated and distributed. The Redlands Service Club Council is hoping for an even better turnout this year. Collection dates are Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11. Please drop off items in one of the drop-off containers before the final collection date.
