Loma Linda Market and the trainers at Better Life Fitness will host a screening of the film “Food Matters,” a documentary that discusses how nutrition plays an enormous role in our health, both now and in the future.
Event organizers say they want to inspire residents who want to eat and feel healthier to stick to those health-related goals. Of those who make resolutions, 30 percent break at least one of them in the first week, said the health experts organizing the event.
The event is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Jan. 22. It is free and open to the public. Seating is limited. Guests are asked to RSVP at www.ourfoodmatters.tv/events.
“Food Matters is a hard hitting, fast paced look at our current state of health,” according to a news release. “Despite the billions of dollars of funding and research into new so-called cures we continue to suffer from a raft of chronic ills and every day maladies.”
The film looks a the trillion dollar worldwide ‘Sickness Industry’ and exposes a growing body of scientific evidence proving that nutritional therapy can be more effective, more economical, less harmful and less invasive than most conventional medical treatments, experts said.
Healthy snacks will be served and an open forum discussion will follow the documentary. For more information and for the location of the screening contact Ashleigh at (909) 222-5462 or Sam at (909) 435-0575.
