Easter services scheduled for Saturday and Sunday

Sunday is Easter, and several churches across Loma Linda and Redlands will be holding special services on both Saturday and Sunday. The entire community is invited to a special sunrise service at the Redlands Bowl on Easter Sunday, sponsored by area churches.

Saturday services:

Loma Linda University Church of Seventh-day Adventists: “Jesus: Life Shatters the Tomb” sermon at 9 a.m. An additional service will be held at 11:45 a.m. 11125 Campus Street, Loma Linda. 909-558-4570.

Sunday services:

St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church: Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. 10816 Mountain View Ave., Loma Linda. 909-796-2605

First Congregational Church: Worship services will be held at 8:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., with special Easter music and a children’s Easter egg hunt. 2 W. Olive Ave., Redlands. 909-793-3157

First Lutheran Church: Traditional services will be held at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., with a contemporary service at 9:30 a.m. Nursery care is available during all services. 1207 W. Cypress Ave., Redlands. 909-793-2267

Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church: Mass will be celebrated in English at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., and in Spanish at noon. University of Redlands Memorial Chapel, 1200 E. Colton Ave., Redlands. 909-793-2469

Redlands United Church of Christ: A worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m., and a contemplative service at 8 a.m. 168 Bellevue Ave., Redlands. 909-793-3520.

Community event: A sunrise service, supported by Redlands area churches, will be held at the Redlands Bowl at 7 a.m. 25 Grant St., Redlands.

The First Baptist Church of Redlands: Worship services will be held at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. 51 W. Olive Ave., Redlands. 909-793-3289

Redlands First United Methodist Church: Worship services will be held at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., with bells, a brass quartet and the sanctuary choir performing “Rising, Blooming, and Flying.” An Easter Egg hunt will happen after the 9 a.m. service 1 E. Olive Ave., Redlands. 909-793-2118.
