LONGTIME SWEETHEARTS: Just a quick reminder that couples who have been married for more than 50 years can get a coupon for a free meal from today. All you have to do is bring a copy of your marriage license and photo ID’s. Hometown Buffet is at 24990 Redlands Boulevard. Happy Valentines Day.

CHARITY AUCTION: File this one under “Wakey, wakey, eggs and bakey!” My family and I are big hockey fans, Los Angeles Kings fans actually. So naturally we support the Ontario Reign, who are a Kings minor league affiliate. My husband and I attended Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary when I realized that the Reign were promoting a jersey auction to benefit the Loma Linda Children’s Hospital. It’s not the first time they’ve done that my husband told me. Really? Where have I been all this time?

BENCHED PROJECT: There is more reason to stop and take in the scenery on the grounds of the Loma Linda Veterans Affair Medical Center. In addition, these benches provide resting area for those walking for exercise.
