Today is April 14. Here are a few things you might want to know today.

WARM DAY: We’re going to warm up heading into the weekend. National Weather Service officials predict a mostly sunny with highs between 72 to 78 degrees. Tonight should be mostly clear with lows from 45 to 50 degrees, weather officials said.

SUPPORT GROUP: The Vet to Vet Peer Support Group Orientation is scheduled at 11 a.m. in the Loma Linda VA Medical Center 2E-37A. The Loma Linda VA is at 11201 Benton Street. Information: (909) 825-7084 ext. 2862

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: The deadline to Register for the 9th Annual PossAbilities Triathlon is today before midnight. The event features an adult triathlon and a children’s triathlon. It will be held at the Loma Linda Drayson Center,

UNIFORM STORE: The last uniform sale scheduled before a two-month hiatus runs today from 2 to 5 p.m. at Loma Linda Academy. Students may turn in used uniforms and purchase new uniforms. The store is located in the Sewing Room, next to the Heritage Room. The school is at 10656 Anderson Street.

IT’S ONLY MAIL: I know you can all read this on the rail of the page, but I had to say I got a kick out of Deb C. comment on our story on the US Postal Service delivering on Saturdays instead of Sundays. “Given that there are children starving every day and so much sadness and pain in Japan I hope that God wouldn't worry about my junk mail delivery,” she wrote. I should let you all know that I did get a lot of comments on this. In the end, they told me it’s only mail.
