Five Things You Need To Know Today

Today is April 19. Here are a few things you might wan to know today.

COOLING TREND: Rain? After all this heat? Apparently so. According to National Weather Service officials, there’s a chance of drizzle with areas of fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise the day should be cloudy, gradually becoming mostly sunny with a high near 74 degrees. Tonight was expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 54 degrees, officials said.

TASTY TACOS?: Confession time. In the spirit of supporting our local businesses, I have been meaning to try Cha-Cha’s Tacos on 26393 Redlands Blvd. But I’m always on the run. CHILDREN’S STORYTIME: Grab the kids. It’s time again for the Tuesday Morning Preschool Storytime at Barnes and Noble. The program is scheduled at 10 a.m. The event is organized by the Children's Department for preschooler’s storytime and activities. PARENTING CONFERENCE: The Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, Children’s Network and Children’s Fund present the fifth annual “Keep Me Safe Parenting Conference” from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Admission is free. Breakfast foods will be available. There will also be giveaways, raffles, and lots of informational parenting information. Guest speakers include Emergency Room Physician Dr. Tim Young and Forensic Pediatrician Dr. Amy Young. ANNUAL COMPETITION: Today we published photos of the . It was something to behold. Adults of all ages and children and those with, dare I say, without disabilities? You couldn’t tell. Everyone competing they were all athletes and equally capable.
