Five Things You Need To Know Today

Today is April 22. Here are a few things you might want to know today.

COOL TEMPS: Forecasters are saying we’ll warm up, but not until after Easter. Today, National Weather Service officials expect areas of fog before 11 a.m. It probably will be cloudy through mid-morning, gradually clearing with a high near 71 degrees, weather officials said. Tonight forecasters expect patchy fog after 11 p.m. and increasing clouds with a low around 51 degrees.

JAM TIME: Campus Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church is hosting JAM - Jesus and Me Youth Vespers and Bible Study at 7 p.m. at Hammond Jewell Music Center.  Youth ages 12-21 are welcomed to a cozy, home-like atmosphere where good music, friendship and the Word of God are shared over some hot tea and the occasional cookies.

GOOD FRIDAY: Today is Good Friday. St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church will present the Stations of the Cross at noon today. The church is at 10816 Mountain View Ave. Information: (909) 796-2605

NEW ARRIVAL: Loma Linda University Medical Center – Murrieta welcomed their first baby girl April 15. Little Roxie arrived weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces.

ROAD WORK: Redlands Police officials say the final phase of construction to repave Church Street with rubberized asphalt from Colton Avenue south to the railroad crossing begins Monday. The work is expected to be completed by April 28.
