Five Things You Need To Know Today

Today is May 25. Here are a few things you might want to know today.

GETTING WARMER: Today should be nice folks. National Weather Service officials expect it to be sunny, with a high near 82 degrees. Tonight should be mostly clear, with a low around 56 degrees. Winds could gust as high as 20 miles per hour.

MILITARY FREEBIES: Chick-fil-A is holding a Military Appreciation Night from 4-7 p.m. Any local military personnel active and retired who stop by during the three hours is eligible for a free meal. You must show military identification. The nearest Chick-fil-A’s are 27520 W. Lugonia Ave. in Redlands; 2885 Canyon Springs Parkway in Riverside.

WHO’S THIS?: Who is this, um, unmasked man? Loma Linda University has posted a photo and challenging people to identify the person. If you want to take a shot at it, go to the university’s Facebook page

SECOND ABDUCTION: Keep your eyes open folks. Moreno Valley Police is searching for a man who they say abducted his 3-year-old son, Donnelly, for a second time. Officials say that on Monday, 46-year-old William Burns was having a supervised visitation with the boy in the area of Cottonwood Avenue and Frederick Street, when he grabbed the boy and fled. Police said he fled in an unknown newer silver or white, two-door hatchback vehicle. There was an unidentified female in the passenger seat. William Burns last known address is in the city of Hemet, police officials said. Burns abducted his son in March. Authorities found the child unharmed on Phoenix. Sharon Diane Joyce, 43, Donnelly’s mother, was also at the visit, but left the visit five minutes prior to the abduction. The Police Department is looking for Joyce for questioning. Donnelly is a white male juvenile with blue eyes. He was last seen wearing jean shorts, black shirt and camouflage shoes. William Burns white male 5-foot-8, 170 pounds, brown hair and blue eyes. Sharon Joyce is a white female adult 5-foot-7 tall, 130 pounds, blonde hair and blue eyes.
