Five Things You Need to Know Today

Today is June 12. Here a few things happening in and around your community.

ANOTHER CLOUDY DAY: Well, if you've enjoyed this weather, you better while it lasts. National Weather Service officials are forecasting another day of morning fog with gradual clearing, and a high around 77 degrees. The fog will return overnight and there will be a low temperature of around 55 degrees. The forecast calls for more of the same Monday, but Tuesday could bring temperatures of up to 90 degrees.

IT'S GRADUATION DAY: The Drayson Center is the place to be today for students and family members celebrating their goal of a diploma from Loma Linda University. There will be six schools conferring degrees during five ceremonies throughout the day. It will start at 8 a.m. with the school of religion and the school of science and technology, followed by the school of nursing at 10:30 a.m., the school of allied health professionals - physical therapy at 1 p.m., the rest of the school of allied health at 3:30 p.m. and the school of public health closing things out at 6 p.m. All the ceremonies will be webcast. PLAY BALL: The Inland Empire 66ers will be holding a youth baseball clinic before today's game against the Lancaster Jethawks. The team's players and coaches will be on the field offering tips to young baseball players. Gates at Arrowhead Credit Union Park will open at 10:30 a.m., with the clinic starting at 11 a.m. The game will begin at 1 p.m. Game tickets are $6 to $10.

HARD ROCKIN': Stinger's Bar and Nightclub will present a night of rock, headlined by Fear Factory. Presented by X103.9, the concert will feature Death is Eternal, Dyer, Thrown Into Exile, Sangre and Fear Factory. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the concert is open to those 18 and older. Tickets are $20 at the door. Stinger's is located at 194 W. Club Center Drive in San Bernardino. For information, call (909) 872-0308

SHOOTING FOR FUN: The Tri-County Trap Club will have its monthly shoot at the Redlands Shooting Park, which is at 2125 N. Orange St. in the north end of town. Members and guests are welcome. Registration is open from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m., with the event starting just after 9 a.m. Entry fees vary depending on experience and shots fired. For information about the park, go to its website.
