Five Things You Need to Know Today

Today is July 21. Here are a few things going on in and around your neighborhood.

NO CHANGES: If you're like me, you probably won't notice much change in the weather today. It'll be picture perfect day, only just a little hot. The National Weather Service is forecasting a high around 95 degrees. The breeze is expected to pick up throughout the day, cooling it down to around 61 degrees. Forecast from there will remain pretty much the same.

MARKET NIGHT: It's Thursday, so that means it's Market Night in Downtown Redlands. The weekly event features live entertainment for all ages, food booths and farm fresh items for sale. It is open from 6 to 9 p.m., and no children under age 18 are allowed by themselves aftger 8 p.m.

EARLY SHOPPING: You have two days left to shop at the Christmas in July Craft Fair a the Redlands Community Senior Center. Open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Friday, the craft fair is showcasing unique gifts made by local artisans. The center is located at 111 W. Lugonia Ave.

NO KIDS ALLOWED: A Mom's Night Out support group for mom's with special needs children will be held at 6 tonight at Mimi's Cafe, 395 E. Hospitality Lane in San Bernardino. Held the third Thursday of each month, it allows mom's to enjoy social time and share stories, while having a meal without the kids. Everyone pays for their own meal. FUN FOR THE KIDS: The San Bernardino County Museum will continue the Avoid Summer Brain Drain activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Today children will have the opportunity to create “Fight for Cause” posters. Tomorrow participants will be able to paint a fossil. The San Bernardino County Museum is at 2024 Orange Tree Lane. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays and holiday Mondays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for military and seniors, $5 for students and $4 for children 5 to 12.
