Fourteenth Annual San Bernardino County Sheriff's Rodeo Begins Friday

The 14th Annual P.R.C.A Sheriff’s Rodeo is coming to the Glen Helen Regional Park on Friday, September 27th and runs through Sunday, September 29th.  Gates open at 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.  

Rodeo starts at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.  Gates open at 1 p.m. Sunday.  Rodeo Starts at 5 p.m.  An additional 500 seats have been added for this year's rodeo.

Several of the world’s top professional cowboys will be performing bareback and saddle bronc riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, tie down roping, barrel racing and team roping.  Also performing will be the clowns and comedy trick-riding acts.

For Saturday, September 28th, we will be asking, “Are you Tough Enough to Wear Pink?” Wear pink this night to the rodeo and show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness.  The rodeo will be making a donation to Loma Linda University Hospital for breast cancer research. 

Prior to the rodeo on Saturday night will be the Challenged Children’s Rodeo at 6:00 p.m.  The children participate in a series of special rodeo events, using special props designed for fun and safety.  

The children  are partnered up with Deputy Sheriff’s who assist them with each event  which includes, calf roping, steer wrestling, bronc riding, barrel racing and a chance to ride a real horse.  The smiles on the children’s faces are priceless, we encourage you to come early and enjoy the show.  

A dance follows the Friday and Saturday night rodeos featuring the band, The SaloonaTixx. 

Tickets are $15.00 each with a discount of two tickets for the price of one for Sunday’s show.  Children age 6 and under are free. 

Proceeds from this family event will be given to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, the Challenged Children’s Rodeo, the 4H Club of San Bernardino, the Yucaipa Equestrian Center, Loma Linda Medical Center Breast Cancer Research and the Sheriff’s Reserves and Volunteers, both which are volunteer public service organizations, and several service clubs.

We encourage you to arrive early and meander among the merchandise vendors and partake in the food and beverages that will be available to you.  Family entertainment also includes the mechanical bull, pony rides, a bounce house, petting zoo and a rock wall.

The rodeo grounds are located in Devore a short distance from the I15/I215 interchange.  Take the Devore turn off or Glen Helen Parkway. 

Mark September 27th, 28th and 29th on your calendars for this year’s Sheriff’s PRCA Rodeo that benefits the children of San Bernardino County.  The rodeo is made possible through generous donations from local businesses and organizations throughout the county.
