Snow was melting before 10 a.m. Saturday in Mill Creek Canyon, where several inches of snow fell overnight and in the early morning east of Redlands and Loma Linda.
The snowline was well below 6,000 feet on Valley of the Falls Drive. Snow plastered every tree from eye level to the ridges above Forest Falls.
Trucks equipped with snowplows kept the road clear before noon.
Forecasts for Sunday in Redlands and Loma Linda included highs around 55 and a 40 percent chance of rain.
