Local Churches Observe MLK Day

A prayer breakfast has been scheduled for Monday at the National Orange Show.

Bishop L. Daniel Williams, senior pastor at Baptist Church of New Covent, is scheduled to speak at the 33rd annual Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast.

Bishop Williams is a former President of the Baptist Conference of Los Angeles and Southern California and former President of the Progressive Baptist Convention of California, according to event organizers.

The breakfast is presented by the Inland Empire Concerned African American Churches.  It will be held at 7:30 a.m. Monday Jan. 21 at the National Orange Show, Orange Pavilion, 869 South E Street in San Bernardino.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for 13 and under. A souvenir book will be available during the event.
