Loma Linda Walk, Ceremony Remembers Young Lives Lost

The Unforgettables Foundation ended 2012 by paying tribute to the children lost during the past year.

While many spent much of the last day of 2012 preparing to celebrate, about 200 people in Loma Linda marked the occasion with a more somber event.

The Unforgettables Foundation held their annual Lights for Little Lives walk from the Ronald McDonald House to the Campus Hill Church.

The event is the Redlands-based foundation's chance to pay tribute to the families who have lost a child in 2012, or in the past. The foundation helps financially struggling families who have lost youngsters, infants to 18 years, cope with the high cost of burial.

During the ceremony, the group also read the names of the children killed in Newtown Conn. at the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting.
