More Chilly Weather to Hit Loma Linda/Redlands

Wind and rain is headed our way. And nighttime temperatures could dip to 40 degrees or below.

Grab the sweaters and blankets. The cold that chilled Loma Linda and its neighbors is expected to hang around, said National Weather Service officials.

A cold Pacific storm that brought rains to the Southland on Friday, including Loma Linda and Redlands, dissipated by Friday night.  The rain gauge at Cal State San Bernardino measured half an inch of rain in the area. A nearby gauge in Riverside measured three tenths of an inch.

But don’t put those umbrellas away yet. Another storm is expected to bring more rain Saturday night into Sunday, according to the Weather Service’s website. Weather officials have predicted there will be several scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms and locally heavy rain with small hail possible in some areas.
