Redlands Animal Shelter Seeks Home for Friendly Chihuahua Mix 'Maxie'

The Redlands Animal Shelter is seeking a home for a friendly Chihuahua mix named "Maxie."

Shelter volunteer Cyndy Dunham brought Maxie to the Redlands city council meeting on Tuesday night.

Maxie is estimated to be 2 or 3 years old, Kerry Collins of the Redlands Animal Shelter said in a phone interview.

She was a stray who became available for adoption on June 7 and she is still available, Collins said Wednesday afternoon.

"She gets along with other dogs," Collins said. "She's very friendly."

Maxie's ID number at the shelter is A020360. The adoption fee of $63 covers spay neutering and one set of shots, Collins said.

To adopt Maxie or other new friends at the Redlands Animal Shelter, call (909) 798-7644 or visit the shelter at 504 Kansas St. Shelter hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Collins said.
