Warm Welcome for City's 12/12/12 Babies at Redlands Community Hospital

As of 4:30 p.m. Wednesday three babies had been born on Dec. 12, 2012, at the only hospital in Redlands, a Redlands Community spokeswoman said.

Joelene Faith Aritonang came into the world at 1:49 a.m. Wednesday at Redlands Community Hospital, and she became the first newborn of 12/12/12 in Redlands, according to doctors and staff.

Her mother Friska and her father Daud, residents of Mentone, beamed with pride Wednesday afternoon and said Joelene's timing was a sign of good fortune.

"It's a good number for her because she was supposed to be born on the 30th this month," Friska said as she cradled Joelene.
