Redlands Kiwanis Christmas Parade Marks City's Upcoming 125th Year

This year's parade theme celebrates the city's 125th anniversary, marking the kick off of a year-long Quasquicentennial celebration, a Redlands spokesman said.

The Redlands Kiwanis Christmas Parade started on time at 6 p.m. Saturday Dec. 1 in spite of a few sprinkles as the weather held and hundreds lined the parade route downtown.

The 2012 parade included more than 120 entries, including floats, bands, classic cars and others, according to the City of Redlands.

This year's parade theme celebrates the city's 125th anniversary, marking the kick off of a year-long Quasquicentennial celebration in 2013, Redlands spokesman Carl Baker said.
