Steve Jobs Dies, How Did His Vision Impact Your Life?

The co-founder of Apple had battled cancer for years

Steve Jobs, one of the co-founders of Apple and a visionary in the world of technology, died earlier today in Palo Alto, California. He was 56.

In a statement, the company said, “Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.”

Jobs co-founded the company at the age of 21, and first started working on products out of a garage. His death from cancer was not unexpected; he had battled the disease for several years, and stepped down as chief executive in August.
