Whiz Kid: A Profile of a Special Youngster

Patch Whiz Kid/Team/Club of the Week is Gavin Sibuea Cholly, 13

• Member of: Cope Middle School
• Accomplishment: Gavin’s accomplishments are almost too numerous to list. He is a singer and can play every single type of saxophone. He also plays guitar, trumpet, viola, violin, drums and piano. At school he is part of the jazz, intermediate, advanced and marching bands. He has participated in several piano competitions and even performed on local television.
• Key to Awesomeness: “Music is my passion,” Gavin said. “I got it from my grandpa.” The youngster says he never got to meet him but knows his grandpa was also a passionate musician.
