The Hunchback of Notre Dame Silent Movie With Live Organ

The Mighty Wurlitzer Organ in the California Theatre of the Performing Arts will spark to life again when it accompanies the silent film classic The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

The City of San Bernardino Economic Development Agency presents this free program. Admission to the screening is free, but those attending must have a ticket for admittance, so please call for a ticket reservation.

Robert Salisbury will accompany the film on the theater’s historic Mighty Wurlitzer Organ. It is one of only three working Wurlitzer Opus 610 pipe organs in the world, one of a very few in Southern California, and the only one in San Bernardino and Riverside counties still in its original theater home.

This 1923 version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of the most famous versions. It stars Lon Chaney as Quasimodo and Patsy Ruth Miller as Esmeralda. Wallace Worsley directs.
