Some girls wore belts of ammunition as tribute to Las Soldaderas, women who fought alongside men during the Mexican Revolution between 1910 and 1920.

Girls and young women shared pride in their Mexican heritage Saturday at the 15th Annual Christmas Block Party in Redlands.

Dancers in traditional Jalisco and Michoacán dress and mariachis drew applause from people of all ages outside at Redlands Community Center.

Some girls wore belts of ammunition as tribute to Las Soldaderas, women who fought alongside men during the Mexican Revolution between 1910 and 1920.

Mexicans celebrating a Countries History they chose to leave for a "better life". What happened to the Warrior Culture that is being celebrated? Easier to run away. So much for "Mexican Pride".
