KCAL and LifeStream Raising Awareness for Blood Donations

This Friday, members of the KCAL morning show will greet and thank visitors to the LifeStream donor center in San Bernardino.

KCAL 96.7 and LifeStream are coming together to raise awareness for blood donation this summer.

According to LifeStream, an independent local blood bank, it’s hard to maintain adequate supplies of blood products in local hospitals during the summer, when supply usually decreases as demand increases.

On Friday, June 29, the KCAL morning team of Stu, Tiffany and Jimbo will greet and thank blood donors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the San Bernardino LifeStream donor center at 384 W. Orange Show Road, San Bernardino.

While supplies last, donors will receive a voucher for two tickets to a special screening of The Amazing Spider Man on July 12 in Riverside. There will also be In-N-Out gift cards distributed, while supplies last.

The center is open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; walk-ins are welcome, and appointments can be made by calling 1-800-879-4484.
