Business Organization Educates Local Business Community

City of San Bernardino Office of Business Development workshop series has been well received

City of San Bernardino Office of Business Development workshop series have been well received having about 350 business professionals over the last six months, officials with the organization said.

The series launched in October 2010, officials said. The business development office serves all the Inland Empire.

The workshops are designed to educate and keep business owners on top business trends, said Lori Tillery, economic development manager with the Office of Business Development. The organization has hosted more than 35 workshops.

"The workshops have focused on issues that are important to the business community such as employment law, how to use QuickBooks, public relations and marketing, and how to start up your own business," Tillery said.

"I attended several workshops, including the Marketing 101 seminar," Carmen Parada of XelaTech Consulting, an information technology consulting company based in Diamond Bar. "I really liked all of the information provided. It was very useful.”
