Mexico defeated Brazil 2-1 in Wembley on Saturday to win the gold medal in the men's soccer tournament in the 2012 London Olympics.
Oribe Peralta scored in the first minute and the 75th minute to lead Mexico to one of its most historic wins. Hulk scored in the 91st minute for Brazil but it was too little, too late.
Mexico won its first Olympic gold medal. Brazil is five-time World Cup champion but they have never won the Olympic soccer tournament.
"We won, yes!" Audomaro Lugo, owner of on Industrial Park Avenue in Redlands, said moments after the match. "We played better than Brazil."
The match was carried live in Redlands and Loma Linda on Telemundo 52.
