A new restaurant is coming to Redlands.
Construction is underway at the Orange Street Plaza Shopping Center for a Corner Bakery Cafe. The restaurant will go into the space vacated by Open Kitchen, which closed earlier this year.
The shopping center, on Orange Street next to the 10 freeway, is also home to Vons, Trader Joe’s, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Anytime Fitness, and several other businesses.
Corner Bakery Cafe is a chain of fast casual restaurants that specialize in sandwiches, salads, and pastries. Currently, the closest Corner Bakery Cafe to Redlands and Loma Linda is in Rancho Cucamonga at Victoria Gardens.
Two signs on display at the location state that the restaurant is “coming soon,” with no opening date listed. Calls to the Corner Bakery Cafe press office were not returned.
