Easter Egg Hunt & Movie in the Park Planned Friday Evening in Redlands

Egg hunt times are 6 p.m. for children up to 3 years old, and 6:30 p.m. for children 4 to 6, 7 to 9 and 10 to 12 years old, according to city staff.

A free "Easter Egg Hunt and Movie in the Park" event are planned this Friday evening at Ed Hales Park in downtown Redlands, city officials said Tuesday.

The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. March 22 with egg hunts for different age groups. Easter Sunday this year is March 31.

The egg hunt comes first, followed by the DreamWorks animated film "Rise of the Guardians," according to city Development Services and Quality of Life staff.

"This event includes free children's activities, musical performances, spring craft projects provided by Kissui, and more, with an Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 6 p.m.," a city announcement states.

"We encourage everyone coming to watch the feature film to bring a blanket andor lawn chair. The entire event will be free to participants."

"Parents and children are expected to conduct themselves with courtesy and respect for all others during the Easter Egg Hunt event," the announcement states.

Ed Hales Park is at the corner of Fifth and State streets, across from Augie's Coffee House and Caprice Cafe.
