Scores of people were on line Thursday and some had been there more than 36 hours to be among the first to see "The Dark Knight Rises" premier at Krikorian Redlands Cinema 14.
Batman fans in their teens and 20s sat in the shade close to the theater on Eureka Street, while more people used umbrellas to avoid the Thursday afternoon sun as the line stretched to Redlands Boulevard.
Some played cards, some slept in dome tents, others rested in the beds of pickup trucks. They came from Corona, Highland, Yucaipa and Redlands.
The Batman epic is scheduled to premier in Redlands at 12:01 a.m. Friday. There are 21 more screenings scheduled at the Krikorian later in the day.
