Inland Fair Housing Mediation Board Presents Free Workshop in Loma Linda

The Inland Fair Housing and Mediation Board plans to present a free workshop next week in Loma Linda.

The workshop is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday June 6 at Loma Linda University Medical Center PossAbilities, Professional Plaza A, Suite 109A, 25455 Barton Rd., a PossAbilities spokesman said.

The workshop could help prospective homebuyers or renters protect themselves against housing discrimination, Herbert Atienza of Loma Linda University Medical Center PossAbilities said.

Participants "will learn to recognize and report housing discrimination, learn the legal rights of people with disabilities, and identify the warning signs of lending scams," Atienza said in an announcement.

Loma Linda University Medical Center PossAbilities is a non-profit outreach program of Loma Linda University Medical Center's East Campus. The program seeks to provide for the physical, social and emotional needs of the people who are physically challenged.
