Laker Girls Event Scores Big in Loma Linda

More than 100 people streamed through the Barton Road eatery for a chance to meet two of the Laker Girls. The event went on for one hour.

Talk about serving up the good stuff. Carl’s Jr. Restaurant in Loma Linda had a special treat for guests Monday: A pair of Laker Girls.

The event was part of the Laker Girls Lunch Date.

More than 100 people lined up from one side of the eatery to the other and out to the parking lot for a chance to meet Laker Girls Andi and Kelsey. It was the next to last such appearance being held by the NBA’s popular dance squad.

“The kids enjoy the Laker thing. I love the Lakers. The kids like to get the pictures and the (girls) sign them,” said Charles Gosey, of San Bernardino. He and his wife, Melissa Dipeal, were looking forward to the event. “This is the closest we can get to an NBA event. We have kids so we really can’t afford to the Laker game.”

The Lakers dancers made a number of appearances throughout March and April. The Loma Linda event was next to last. The final appearance is scheduled from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the Carl's Jr. at 24901 Alicia Parkway in Laguna Hills.

Fans also had their pictures taken, and will be able to download them later from Carl's Jr.'s Flickr account.
