Food Trucks in San Bernardino for Loma Linda's Childhood Cancer Foundation

The event is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. Sunday Aug. 5 at San Manuel Stadium before the Inland Empire 66ers-San Jose Giants game at 6:05 p.m., according to organizers.

The Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California, based in Loma Linda, is planning its first Food Truck Fest in San Bernardino on Sunday Aug. 5.

Food trucks scheduled for the event include Where's The Fire Gourmet Pizza, Gringos Tacos, Hale'iwa Shave Ice, Tornado Potato, Pierogi Truck and SBPEA BBQ, organizers said.

There will be live entertainment by Déjà vu and DJ House of El, a kids zone, a beer garden for adults 21 and over, and a Meet and Greet with Bernie and the 66ers Dance Team.

Tickets are $5 presale and $7 at the gate for the Food Truck Fest.

Combo tickets for the Food Truck Fest and the 66ers game are $15 presale or $17 at the gate.

Free parking is available before 4 p.m., organizers said.

San Manuel Stadium is at 280 S. "E" St., San Bernardino.

"Participants will be making a difference in the life of a child with cancer as they enjoy the delicious meals and the festivities," organizers said. "Proceeds raised at the event will directly benefit the over 700 oncology families currently registered and receiving services through Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California."

The Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California, Inc. received non-profit status in September of 1981, and "is now more than 650 families strong committed to serving children with cancer and their families throughout Southern California emotionally, financially, educationally and with emergency assistance," according to foundation officials.
