“It was shocking when I first received the diagnosis. I didn’t know how I was going to manage especially having three young children,” she said. “Fortunately, I had a great support system. My faith, family, friends and the kind doctors and nurses at the Loma Linda University Cancer Center really helped me get through this challenge. I’ve been pleased with the control of my disease and I have much hope for the future.”
“We hope this event will give hope to those in attendance as we share how we plan to advance our research in defeating cancer,” said Dr. Mark Reeves, director of Loma Linda University Cancer Center.
The Loma Linda University Cancer Center has received an unprecedented boost in the last few years with a $3 million donation from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. The funding has helped LLU Cancer Center enhance research and develop focused treatment of specific types of cancer.
