Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital was treated to a spectacle in the air at the ninth annual “Big Air Kids Fair” on Feb. 3.

Freestyle motocross riders Myles Richmond and Bryce Hudson put on an amazing freestyle motocross demonstration for the patients, families, friends and staff of LLUCH. The riders did tricks ranging from “cliff hangers” to “Hart Attacks,” and a crowd favorite, the backflip.

After their performance, Richmond and Hudson, along with several other Supercross riders, including seven-time Supercross champion Jeremy McGrath, visited patients and fans outside to sign autographs. They then ventured inside LLUCH to visit patients in their rooms and hand out gifts.

Ed Wilson of the Fire and Police MX Team, along with members of the Los Angeles Police Department, made a donation of DVD players and X-Boxes in memory of Marty Moates, a motorcycle champion and founder of “No Fear” clothing who died in 2006.

Event founder and organizer, Jeff Tilton, was very enthusiastic about this year’s show. “This event is a great opportunity for the motorcycle industry to give back to the local community. There is only one objective of the day, and that is to put a smile on the faces of the Loma Linda patients and their families. We accomplished that many times today!”
