New Chairman of County Democratic Central Committee to Speak in Loma Linda

The new chairman of the San Bernardino County Democratic Central Committee is scheduled to speak this Saturday in Loma Linda.

Chris Robles will address the Redlands Area Democratic Club when they meet Oct. 20 at Napoli Restaurant, 24960 Redlands Blvd., the club announced.

Robles was elected to chair the county Democratic Central Committee on Sept. 27, according to the Redlands Area Democratic Club. He was elected to the Democratic county committee representing the 52nd Assembly District in June.

According to a club announcement, "Robles will discuss the continuing growth of the Democratic Party in San Bernardino County. He will also describe changes at the central committee and activities for the coming elections. There will also be a discussion of how Democrats can help for the November 6, 2012 election, and new efforts in the Inland Empire."

Robles, a former teacher and a former Congressional aide, was an assistant to Bill Richardson, former Secretary of Energy and Governor of New Mexico, according to the Redlands Area Democratic Club.

The club meeting is scheduled to begin at noon Oct. 20 with lunch orders and social hour, followed by Robles' address at 1 p.m.
