Redlands gets AT&T upgraded, faster mobile internet service
We've all experienced the frustration—whether trying to upload a video to Instagram, Tweet groundbreaking news, or respond to an urgent work email, communication on a smartphone should not be an arduous or sluggish experience. Yet more often than not, despite all the new technology, it is for countless of mobile users. Well, there’s good news for Redlands residents as AT&T has upgraded several cell sites in the area to expand its 4G LTE coverage giving residents and businesses faster and more reliable mobile service.
The expanded Redlands wireless network is part of AT&T’s more than $300 million investment in its Inland Empire area, including Redlands, wireless and wireline networks from 2011 through 2013.
AT&T has the nation’s fastest and most reliable 4G LTE network. AT&T 4G LTE is the latest generation of wireless network technology and provides several benefits for local residents, including faster mobile Internet speeds —up to 10 times faster than 3G, improved performance, reliability and innovative new 4G LTE-compatible devices.

“Our goal is for our customers to have an extraordinary experience, and they’ll be able to download, upload, stream and game faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network,” said Richard Porras, Regional Vice President, AT&T External Affairs. “As part of the Redlands community, we’re always looking for new opportunities to provide enhanced coverage, and our investment in the local wireless network is another way we’re accomplishing that.”
