CSUSB to host information session on M.B.A. programs

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Cal State San Bernardino will offer information sessions on the university’s graduate business programs for both traditional students and its new professional M.B.A. program.

The sessions will be on Friday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Dec. 13, and will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Jack Brown Hall, Room 143. Attendees can apply for free during those sessions. No R.S.V.P. is required.

The CSUSB M.B.A. program is ranked as the No. 1 innovative business program in the western United States, and ranked in the top five programs for entrepreneurship in the United States.

The program is offered in the following concentrations: accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, global business, cyber security, information systems and technology, management, marketing management and supply chain management.

The new M.B.A. for Professionals program is intended for individuals with at least five years of substantive work experience in management, leadership or a professional capacity.

The M.B.A. for Professionals program offers these features: 

  • The Graduate Management Admission Test, or GMAT, is waived for those students who qualify, but a resume review is required.
  • Students can take core classes as a cohort with other students in the M.B.A. for Professionals program.
  • Some classes will be offered in four-hour blocks on Saturdays (in a blended format with 50 percent online) and others in two-hour evening blocs Monday-Wednesday and Tuesday-Thursday.
  • The flexibility of two start dates: spring (April 2014) and fall (September 2014).
  • Affordable tuition; about $23,000 for California residents and about $35,000 for out-of-state students for the entire program.
  • Seven core courses and five electives, to be decided by the M.B.A. director with inputs from the M.B.A. for Professionals student cohort.
