Six Reasons Why White People Love Herman Cain

The dinosaur-like mainstream media is finally waking up to the fact that Herman Cain is an unqualified boob, who according to MSNBC host Joe Scarborough "Is making it up as he is goes along."

The dinosaur-like mainstream media is finally waking up to the fact that Herman Cain is an unqualified boob, who according to MSNBC host Joe Scarborough "Is making it up as he is goes along."

Cain recently put out two ads that are so bad, that they have become Internet hits and he also complained about being tired, even though he doesn't even have the nomination yet.

Of course Cain has no intention of actually becoming president, but he is still popular. In fact after saying that the black community had been brainwashed into voting Democrat for decades, it seems that Cain is more popular with white audiences.

Here are some reasons why:

  • He makes the right-wing and the tea party look good. Whenever the right wing is accused of racism, they can point to Herman Cain as an example of how diverse they are. It doesn't matter that Cain, a multi millionaire, probably can't identity with most of the problems the rest of the black community faces. Cain is following the J.C. Watts plan and being a visible black Republican. Black Republicans are in short supply, so they always get plenty of air time.
  • He is religious. White people admire the religiosity of the black community and Cain has that down. He is an associate minister and he loves Jesus. There is a reason slave masters converted bonded Africans to Christianity. It kept them pacified.
  • He is a happy Negro. There is no way you could ever accuse Herman Cain of being an angry black man. In fact, he is the antithesis of that, he is always smiling and laughing. He doesn't have time to worry about the black unemployment rate, police brutality or wrongful incarceration. If blacks are suffering, according to Cain it must because they are lazy and are not praying hard enough!
  • He is old and non threatening. Black men always have to deal with the threat of their sexuality. Barack Obama's has sex appeal. He wowed the women of  "The View," when he went on the show. You don't have to worry about that with Herman Cain. He is probably the most asexual black man I can't think of. The only woman who finds him attractive is Mrs. Cain.
  • He is dumb. Well, at least he plays dumb. Cain has a master's degree in computer science and was a success in Corporate America, so I assume that he has to be somewhat intelligent, but his serious gaffes and his willingness to play up his ignorance is troubling. But it does endear him to white people. He doesn't come across as more intelligent than they are, like Obama. There is no way he is going to be accused of being an "arrogant black man."
  • He doesn't talk about racism. The word racism doesn't fit into the Republican agenda. They like to believe it doesn't exist. And who better than Cain, a black man to help disprove it. Republicans can say, "Why can't the rest of them be like him."

I'm really trying to like the Patch. However, the common typographical errors and the intelligent phrases like "He is dumb" and "a boob" are making it very difficult to see the Patch as reputable. Opinion article or not, there are still standards that should be upheld.

Go blame God for that Babel stuff lady, ever wonder if he appreciates the guy who came up with spell check? Really not going to be happy with this translation app stuff for i phone. Cain is the only GOP candidate even looking at the young voters, but is he really wanting to give this stuff to the Obama camp come showdown time? Cain and launch codes, slow smile, Cain coming to see your town after tornado wiped it out- slow smile. Making Romney looking better and better all the time, so much that even he is starting to go foggy on climate change. That means even Kochs doing the math and calling him up.

African Americans have a problem with anyone black that shows even the most modest or remote intelligence, They bad mouth Condeleezza Rice, Barack Obama, Enoch Mubarak and now Herman Cain. African Americans rejoice however in Tyler perry, The wyan brothers, Flip Wilson or any black that wears a dress, kiss other men and buffoons. Fredrick Douglas was right about black people because I see it every day. If there was any justice the title blog should read: "6 reasons why black people like Herman Cain.

"It doesn't matter that Cain, a multi millionaire, probably can't identity with most of the problems the rest of the black community faces." At least Snoop-Dog and FEEFTY CENT aren't multi millionaires speaking for the black community, oh wait they are. How about Jesse Jackson, oh wait he is too. "He is a happy Negro. There is no way you could ever accuse Herman Cain of being an angry black man." The hate in you speech is so apparent- any person of any other race other than black would be impuned for calling a person a happy negro. Dial it back because you cannot have it both ways- the ability to racially slur another human while demanding nobody racially slur anyone you support. Your hypocricy knows no bounds. Does impressing any of those people on THE VIEW actually count as leadership skills? How about leading companies- time and time again. Let the silly people on THE VIEW stay silly and simple while they faint over posers.

Phillip, you reveal a lot about yourself when you use Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent as examples of the black community. And say what you like about both Snoop and 50, they are both aware of the problems the black community faces. Snoop has a little league program to keep kids off the street, and 50 Cent has launched a program to combat hunger. And Jesse Jackson, for all his flaws, still advocates for the poor and prison reform. The word negro means black in Spanish, I don't find it offensive. Please study the language first before you criticize me. Cain has shown leadership skills in Corporate America, but his clueless antics show he is not fit for the political stage.

Clavell, I can't believe you would give snoop dog and half a buck a pass on their behavior and influence on society because they set up a little league team. Look at the behavior they lift up and the damage done to the children that follow their example. I don't think snoop dog is famous for his little league team. They have fed off of the destructuion of the black community and that makes them parasites. The word negro does not offend me, I often find myself wandering thru a mind field of words that may or may not be explosive or acceptable depending upon who you are speaking with. I believe it was Mr. Jackson who declared that negro was an unacceptable word. 'American' should be all the description necessary to for our purposes. If I had to use a hyphenated name to describe my heritage, it would be 8 hyphen segments long. It gets ridiculous at some point. As far as political experience, I believe you may have voted for the current president who had very little experience in the real world and was a senator for months before becoming a full time campaigner. I believe you dislike Herman Cain because he has done it all on his own and has risen far above MOST of America in accomplishments. He will not settle for the victim mentality and handouts. He has risen from a time and place full of hardship and discrimination and has achieved due to his ability and desires. How can you despise this man?

I am amazed by all the knowledge white folk seem to think they have about what's happening in the black community. Even more mind boggling is that white seem to want to set the standards for black folk. I'm so sick of hearing and reading that we only voted for the POTUS because of his skin color. If that were the case, Jesses Jackson would have gotten over 90% of the black vote in 84. Sigh....
