Downtown Redlands Lights Up Christmas Spirit

The Downtown Redlands Business Association sponsored a tree lighting ceremony, in part to remind people to shop locally.

The Downtown Redlands Business Association kicked off the holiday season Saturday night by lighting a Christmas tree in Ed Hales Park.

Santa Claus arrived via a Redlands Fire Truck, and Mayor Pete Aguilar flipped the switch to light the tree.

Vendors sold coffee, chocolate and donuts, while children's stories were read by the Frugal Frigate and songs were led by staff from the 6th Street School of Music.
