Get Out: Five Ideas for Your Weekend

Treasure hunts, fair food and inspirational music rule this weekend.

It's Friday time and the weekend is calling. Check out our picks for fun activities to hit and places to explore.

Our goal is to make the Get Out planner as reliable as possible, but keep in mind, some events change at the last minute. We advise calling ahead just in case.

This weekend you can stitch it up, check out some amazing art by young artists and see a concert for a good cause.

Why Go: Some of the most talented young artists in the area, ages 5-21, will be showing and selling their amazing artwork and competing for prizes.

When/Where: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the San Bernadino County Museum, 2024 Orange Tree Lane, Redlands

Why Go: Stitchers ages 5 and older can learn how to embroider a bookmark or ornament to take home.

Why Go: Members of the Skid Row Praise Band are residents of Skid Row in Los Angeles who speak and sing about their experiences and God’s role in their life. Come hear the music, meet the performers and contribute to the ongoing ministry on Skid Row.

Why Go: Cold Stone is bringing the fair to you with their new No Fair Funnel Cake sundae. Freshly baked funnel cake is dusted with powdered sugar and topped with French vanilla ice cream, strawberry puree and whipped cream. Too bad they don’t have a Ferris wheel.

Why Go: Hunt for treasure at this special antique mall which sells everything from 1800s furniture to turn-of-the-century dolls.
