Redlands, San Bernardino, Lancaster People at Falls: 'We Are Adventurers'

Anthony Davis, 34, of San Bernardino, and his relatives from Lancaster were among scores of people Saturday May 18 at Big Falls in Mill Creek Canyon.

"We are adventurers!" Davis and family members said as they climbed loose steeps next to the falls Saturday afternoon.

They said they are experienced in the outdoors, with a trip to the depths of the Grand Canyon among their exploits.

The family of adults and children included a 1-month-old boy in a shaded baby carrier, who they carefully toted on their way up the falls.

Higher up next to the falls, Redlands High students Trevor Goodwin, 15, Zach Warrick, 16, Tim Aguilar, 18, and Travis Goodwin, 17, enjoyed cool spray coming off the cataract.

A sign at the base of the falls warns visitors of potential dangers, underscoring that over the years many have been injured and killed.
