UPDATE: City Work to Continue on Ford at 10 Freeway in Redlands thru Mid-June

Update 3:51 p.m.  A City of Redlands project on Ford Street near the 10 Freeway includes installation of an 18-inch diameter steel pipe for transporting water and is expected to be concluded by mid-June, a utilities and engineering official said.

Estimated completion by mid-June "should include repaving," Chris Diggs, deputy director of municipal utilities and engineering for the city, said in a phone interview Monday afternoon.

The pipe installation is part of a larger project that started last June, Diggs said.

Earlier Monday, workers had cones set up to direct motorists around part of the work site on northbound Ford at the 10.

The project is being overseen by San Bernardino Associated Governments, also known as SANBAG, according to Caltrans District 8.
