AMAHL and the NIGHT VISITORS - A Christmas Opera with a special message.

Join us for a traditional holiday classic,  "AMAHL & the NIGHT VISITORS" with Riverside Lyric Opera - Dec. 28 at 2 pm & 7 pm at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Temecula and Dec. 29 at 4 pm at The Box Riverside (in the Fox Entertainment Plaza).

Did you know?  - "Amahl" was originally commissioned by NBC in 1951 and was the debut production of the "Hallmark Hall of Fame" broadcast and was the first opera specifically composed for television in America. Through the years it has become a traditional Christmas favorite!

This magical story is about Amahl, a crippled shepherd boy, and his mother who are visited by the three wise men on their way to see baby Jesus. The music is delightful, lyrics are in English. Cynthia Leigh performs as the Mother with boy soprano Luke Larson as Amahl. Veteran opera singers Terry James Welborn, John Hansen and Mario Rios play the three Kings, with James Cameron as the Page. A chorus of shepherds completes the cast. Bring the whole family to this traditional holiday classic with a live orchestra conducted by Dr. Stephen Tucker from U.C. Irvine. It's simply heartwarming.
