Blood Drive at Universal Technical Institute

Universal Technical Institute (UTI) will host a blood donation drive with the American Red Cross Thursday, February 20 at the UTI Rancho Cucamonga campus. The public is invited to donate as well as UTI students, faculty and staff.

All presenting donors will receive vouchers for discounted Anaheim Ducks tickets among other giveaways, in addition to snacks such as sandwiches and pizza. UTI has worked with the American Red Cross to set up blood drives at campuses across the nation to strengthen our community blood supplies throughout the year.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age, or 16 in California with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and present valid identification at the time of donation. Donors under the age of 19 may need to meet additional height and weight requirements.

It is recommended that interested parties review the common restrictions to donating blood including having had a tattoo within the last year, currently have the flu or a cold, or are taking antibiotics. Donors can give blood every eight weeks.

Scheduling an appointment is recommended but walk-ins are also welcome. To schedule a blood donation
appointment for this blood drive, please call 1-800-733-2767.
