Seeds of Hope Leaders Helps Feed Hundreds Each Week

Patch readers told us who the "Everyday Inspirations" in their communities are, and we're sharing their stories and the work they've done locally.

Everyday Inspirations is a series that features people in Patch communities who inspire others through their work, or people who have faced extraordinary situations and grown from them. They have been featured by other people in the community that have been inspired by the nominees.

Name: Gloria Gaona
Town: Highland, CA
Nominated by: Marina Rojas

Why is this person an "Everyday Inspiration?"
Gloria runs the non-profit Seeds of Hope based out of Colton, CA. Each Friday they feed anywhere from 200-400 people. They work with individuals to meet other needs like clothes, shoes, diapers, job training, job referrals, resource referrals.

They do a large Thanksgiving dinner giveaway and provide Christmas presents for hundreds of kids, focusing on the working poor of the community.

How does this person work to make others' lives better?

It seems like every breath she takes, every words she utters, is in search of food, clothes, shoes, diapers, and resources for others.

She seems to have an unending burning desire to fulfill needs of those who are less fortunate in the community. She works a part time job to help pay expenses and she uses that money for the needs of Seeds clients, too. She gives unselfishly.
