Redlands Fire Plans Live Fire Demonstration
Weather permitting, Redlands Crews hope to demonstrate what may happen when people are careless with a live Christmas tree.
The Redlands Fire Department wants people to enjoy their live Christmas tree but want residents to ensure it does not go up in smoke.
To help people understand some of the dangers, firefighters will conduct a live fire demonstration at 7 p.m. during Market Night. It will be held on State Street in Redlands.
“Christmas tree fires aren’t common in Redlands, but they do happen,” officials wrote to their Facebook fans. “And when they do occur, they have a greater chance to be serious.”

This event is free and open to the public. The event may be rescheduled in the event of rain, officials said.
