Tax Day Rally Returns to Redlands on Monday

Now more than ever, America needs fiscal responsibility, free markets and constitutionally limited government -- the three principles of the Redlands Tea Party Patriots.

The Redlands Tea Party Patriots will hold its fifth annual Tax Day rally in downtown Redlands on Monday, April 15.

We think it’s critical to make a public stand now against the Obama administration and the state of California for their oppressive taxes and overwhelming regulations. We are also standing up for the Second Amendment, which is under attack from Washington, Sacramento and the media.

April 15 will be our fifth annual Tax Day rally in Redlands since the tea party movement was launched in 2009. This could be our largest yet because of our newspaper advertising as well as on AM 590 The Answer. Evening drive-time host Lou Desmond will broadcast his evening show from the rally and rebroadcast the following morning.

The rally is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the corners of Redlands Boulevard and Orange Street. If you need help finding it, just listen for the bullhorn.

Please bring your signs, friends, flags and family as well as your creativity, energy and sense of humor -- especially the humor, something we have in abundance and liberals outsourced to cable TV.

We will be giving away free and clever bumper stickers to stop government overspending and protect the Second Amendment. We will also have materials from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association and the national Tea Party Patriots, two organizations we support.
